Recap: Scotus Shamrocks vs. St. Paul Wildcats
The Scotus Shamrocks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season. Everything went their way against St. Paul on Tuesday as Scotus made off with a 41-21 win. The win was familiar territory for Scotus who now have three in a row.
St. Paul lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Natalie Poss, who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Kelley, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Scotus is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for St. Paul, they bumped their record down to 3-7 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Scotus will take on Bishop Neumann at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bishop Neumann presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Scotus in Nebraska (Bishop Neumann is ranked sixth, while Scotus is ranked 61st). As for St. Paul, they will head out on the road to face off against Aurora at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Aurora focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday.
