The Willis Wildkats can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Cleveland by a score of 58-50. The win was just what Willis needed coming off of a 64-28 loss in their prior matchup.

Willis' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amy Roberts, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. Roberts has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleigh Kibbey, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.

Willis' win ended a 11-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-23. As for Cleveland, their loss was their 12th straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-22.

Willis will take on College Park at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. College Park presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Willis in Texas (College Park is ranked 484th, while Willis is ranked 1226th). As for Cleveland, they will head out on the road to face off against The Woodlands at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
