Soccer Recap: Ruidoso vs. Artesia
Ruidoso's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Artesia Bulldogs. The Warriors' winning goal came courtesy of Jackeline Segovia.
The win got Ruidoso back to even at 4-4-1. As for Artesia, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3-2.
Ruidoso has the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Cottonwood Classical Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Cottonwood Classical Prep knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Ruidoso likes a good challenge. As for Artesia, they will venture away from home to face off against Roswell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Artesia's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
