Football Recap: Lockland Takes a Loss

Lockland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 40-6 defeat at the hands of the Clermont Northeastern Rockets.

Brady Schmidt had an outrageously good game for Clermont Northeastern as he rushed for 50 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 144 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 10-for-10 passing. The Rockets' leading receiver Jaxon Vining was Schmidt's top target yet again, picking up 108 receiving yards and one score.

Lockland's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Clermont Northeastern, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Lockland will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Shroder Paideia Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Clermont Northeastern, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cincinnati Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
