Basketball Recap: Swain County Comes Up Short

Swain County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 97-13 defeat at the hands of the Cherokee Braves. The game marked the Maroon Devils' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Swain County's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Cherokee, they pushed their record up to 20-2 with the win, which was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season.

Swain County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-18 defeat against Hayesville on the 15th. Cherokee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
