Volleyball Recap: Fort Wayne Wayne Takes a Loss

If Fort Wayne Wayne was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Fort Wayne South Side last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Generals came up short against the Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran Cadets on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Generals of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-14, 25-12.

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran can attribute much of their success to Courtney Inman, who had 14 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Inman has posted over her last six matches. Elizabeth Walkup also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Fort Wayne Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

Fort Wayne Wayne wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger on the 2nd. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Fort Wayne North Side on the 2nd.
