Volleyball Recap: Marshall Gets the Win

The Marshall Redhawks were able to grind out a solid win over Varsity Opponent on Saturday, taking the game 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Redhawks.

Marshall found their leader in sophomore Addie Carden, who had five aces and four digs. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Carden.

Marshall was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matches.

Marshall's victory bumped their record up to 14-6.

Marshall wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Vicksburg on the 13th. As for Varsity Opponent, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Roscoe on the 13th.
