Volleyball Recap: St. Thomas Aquinas Takes a Loss

St. Thomas Aquinas lost against Trinity Catholic back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Raiders fell just short of the Celtics by a score of 2-1. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their offense was headlined by Emmi Merhi and Isabella Sangha, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Hailey Trebbien and her 14 assists. Sofia Tang controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

St. Thomas Aquinas now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Trinity Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

St. Thomas Aquinas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Berkeley Prep on the 30th. As for Trinity Catholic, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against IMG Academy Royal on the 30th.
