Curtis Baptist had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They claimed a resounding 52-17 victory over the Jefferson Davis Academy Raiders. With the Crusaders ahead 28-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Curtis Baptist's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaliyah Terry, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. Terry's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maci Butler, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Curtis Baptist smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive games.

Curtis Baptist's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.7 points over those games. As for Jefferson Davis Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
