Basketball Recap: Juarez-Lincoln Takes a Loss

Juarez-Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They took a hard 62-47 fall against the Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 78-23 back in December of 2024.

Caylie Montalvo was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds for Mission Veterans Memorial. That makes it three consecutive games in which Montalvo has scored at least a third of Mission Veterans Memorial's points. Isabella Canizalez was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 19 boards.

Juarez-Lincoln's record now sits at 4-21. As for Mission Veterans Memorial, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-13 record.

Juarez-Lincoln will host Nixon at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th. As for Mission Veterans Memorial, they will challenge Cigarroa at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
