Softball Recap: Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers vs. Maret Frogs

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Georgetown Day had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Maret Frogs by a score of 16-12. For the Mighty Hoppers, this counts as revenge for the 13-0 win the Frogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2021.

Georgetown Day let Ellie Snyder and Isabella Yip run wild. Snyder got on base in three of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Yip got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Snyder has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Avery Snyder, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two RBI.

Georgetown Day always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
