Softball Recap: Ridgeline Takes a Loss

Ridgeline lost against Spanish Fork back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Riverhawks fell just short of the Dons by a score of 5-4.

Kylie Jorgensen was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Ava Buttars, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Ridgeline's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-9. As for Spanish Fork, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Ridgeline will take on Riverton at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Silverwolves' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Riverhawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Spanish Fork, they will square off against Desert Hills at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
