Riverview and Grosse Ile are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Pirates will venture away from home to face off against the Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Riverview is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

Riverview blew Richard out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Richard got their revenge. The Pirates fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Pirates have suffered since May 18, 2024.

Riverview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Rebeka, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Grosse Ile can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over Melvindale.

Rocco Pascuzzi was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Max Myers, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Grosse Ile's victory bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Riverview, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-24.

Riverview skirted past Grosse Ile 2-1 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
