Baseball Recap: Algoma Christian Comes Up Short

Algoma Christian couldn't beat Barry County Christian on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Knights lost 16-6 to the Eagles. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Oak DeKuiper made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Hendrick Breen, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Algoma Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Barry County Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-10.

Algoma Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Barry County Christian, they will venture away from home to take on Parchment at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
