Soccer Recap: West Mecklenburg Takes a Loss

West Mecklenburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 9-0 to the Hough Huskies. While losing is never fun, West Mecklenburg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 427th, while Hough are ranked 13th).

West Mecklenburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Hough, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-0.

West Mecklenburg didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, an 8-0 loss against North Mecklenburg on the 25th. As for Hough, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 9-0 win against West Charlotte on the 25th.
