Preview: Malad Dragons vs. Aberdeen Tigers
Malad has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Aberdeen Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (Malad is ranked 121st, while Aberdeen is ranked 96th).
Last Friday, Malad came up short against Bear Lake and fell 64-51. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Malad in their matchups with Bear Lake: they've now lost seven in a row.
Meanwhile, Aberdeen's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Declo.
Malad bumped their record down to 3-11 with that loss, which was their 14th straight at home. As for Aberdeen, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
Malad suffered a grim 73-47 defeat to Aberdeen in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Malad, Brody Beck (who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
