A Season-Best Effort from Ethan Mcnulty Leads Conemaugh Valley over West Shamokin

Ethan Mcnulty produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Conemaugh Valley to the win on Friday. Mcnulty rushed for 320 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 20.0 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 66 yards.

With the victory, Conemaugh Valley broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-7. Mcnulty and Conemaugh Valley will take on Conemaugh Township at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Ty Dumm Dazzles in Northern Cambria Victory

Ty Dumm posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 233 yards while picking up 13.7 yards per carry, and also threw for 144 yards on 14 of 20 attempts.

Conemaugh Township had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Dumm it was a similar story. When Dumm last faced the Indians back in September of 2023, he rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.

Layo Came Up Big in Portage's 16-0 Victory

Bode Layo put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in September of 2023 on Friday. He rushed for 39 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 41 receiving yards.

Layo must have Purchase Line's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Layo last faced the Red Dragons back in September of 2023, he picked up 159 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Conemaugh Valley's Losing Streak Is No More Thanks to Eric Korhut

Thanks in part to Eric Korhut, Conemaugh Valley said goodbye to their seven-game losing streak. Korhut was unstoppable on Friday, rushing for 46 yards and a touchdown.

For the year, Korhut has averaged 21.9 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 1.71 receiving yards per game.

United Valley Co-Op [Blacklick Valley/United] Gets a Boost from Stephens in 27-0 Victory

Dylan Stephens put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in August on Friday. He rushed for 100 yards on only nine carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

The victory was the fourth in a row for United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United], bringing their record for this year to 5-3. Stephens and United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United] will square off against Purchase Line at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
