Soccer Game Preview: Issaquah vs. Lake Washington

The Issaquah Eagles will challenge the Lake Washington Kangaroos at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Issaquah's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

While Issaquah's victory against Mercer Island wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Islanders 2-1 on Tuesday. The win was all the more spectacular given Issaquah's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Mercer Island are ranked 14th).

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in March, Lake Washington was forced to settle for a draw on Tuesday. They and Eastlake finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Issaquah picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-6-1. Lake Washington's draw gives them a new season record of 4-4-2.
