Recap: Grafton Bearcats vs. North Marion Huskies
The Grafton Bearcats came into Tuesday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past North Marion 55-52. For Grafton, this counts as revenge for the 70-47 defeat the Huskies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
North Marion's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caden Morris, who scored 22 points. Jeffrey Landon cowger was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 15 rebounds.
Even though they lost, North Marion smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Grafton's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for North Marion, they dropped their record down to 6-6 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Grafton will take on the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Marion, they will head out on the road to face off against the Minutemen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
