Prairieville was the 3-2 winner over Brusly when they last played one another on Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Hurricanes fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-4 on Wednesday. The Hurricanes' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Prairieville got a good showing from Cailyn Sheets, who tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. The dominant performance also gave Sheets a new career-low in walks (zero).

At the plate, Prairieville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Whitney Kliebert, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Prairieville's defeat dropped their record down to 12-22. As for Brusly, their victory bumped their record up to 33-5.

Coming up, Prairieville will welcome St. Charles Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Brusly, they are taking a road trip to challenge Parkview Baptist at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
