Jay M. Robinson has gone a perfect 6-0 against South Rowan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Jay M. Robinson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aury Greenfield led the charge by rushing for 110 yards and one score on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 101 yards and one touchdown on only seven passes. Those 110 rushing yards gave Greenfield a new career-high. Lj Watson helped out on the ground, rushing for 101 yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Jay M. Robinson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 376 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 160 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Jay M. Robinson's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Kemauri Pinkston, Isaiah Woodburn, and Josh Tate, who each picked up one sack apiece. Pinkston was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, making ten total tackles, and defending three passes.
Meanwhile, South Rowan was beaten by West Rowan 48-6 on Friday. The game marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
Jay M. Robinson's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for South Rowan, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Jay M. Robinson has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 226.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like South Rowan struggles in that department as they've been averaging 202.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
