Volleyball Game Preview: Canyon Crest Academy Ravens vs. Mission Vista

Canyon Crest Academy is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Friday. They will be playing at home against Mission Vista at 6:00 p.m. Canyon Crest Academy will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

On Thursday, Canyon Crest Academy made easy work of San Marcos and carried off a 3-0 win.

While Canyon Crest Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-23, 25-20.

Mission Vista not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 25th. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Fallbrook. Mission Vista hasn't had any issues with Fallbrook recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Mission Vista never let Fallbrook on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16, 25-22.

Canyon Crest Academy better focus on containing Anthony Gonzalez and Cody Krohn as the pair were huge in Mission Vista's win. Gonzalez had 11 digs and two assists, while Krohn had 22 assists and seven digs. Those two assists gave Gonzalez a new career-high.

Mission Vista's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Canyon Crest Academy, they pushed their record up to 26-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
