Volleyball Recap: West Brunswick Comes Up Short at Home Against South Brunswick

West Brunswick unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Brunswick Cougars on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost three in a row.

West Brunswick started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-12, 25-20, 25-20.

South Brunswick can attribute much of their success to Faye (Malin) Miller, who had nine digs and one assist.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Brunswick will challenge South Columbus at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Brunswick, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on South Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
