Softball Game Preview: St. Thomas Aquinas Falcons vs. Independence Tigers

St. Thomas Aquinas has gone a perfect 3-0 against Independence recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Falcons will host the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

St. Thomas Aquinas is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Saturday, they were much more limited against Sumner on Tuesday. They lost 8-2 to the Cowboys. The Falcons have struggled against the Cowboys recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

St. Thomas Aquinas saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lylah Madere, who went 1-for-4 with one triple.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 40 runs the game before, Independence was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They came up short against Hammond, falling 16-1.

St. Thomas Aquinas' loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Independence, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-13.
