Softball Recap: Clermont Northeastern's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Clermont Northeastern had lost three games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 7-10 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They never let the Felicity-Franklin Cardinals get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. Considering the Rockets have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Bella Wilson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April. Another player making a difference was Allie Adkins, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

As for Felicity-Franklin, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-12. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

On Felicity-Franklin's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Esther Quatkemeyer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Looking ahead, Clermont Northeastern will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Cincinnati Country Day at 5:00 p.m. The Nighthawks will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Rockets surely won't give up without a fight. As for Felicity-Franklin, they will be taking part in a tournament against Middletown Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
