Pioneer came tearing into Friday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 68-23 victory over the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial Wolverines. The Diamondbacks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pioneer to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ebonie Chatman, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Anika Fleischmann, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 rebounds.

Pioneer smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 30 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in seven consecutive matches.

Pioneer has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.1 points per game. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial, their loss was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-14.

Pioneer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-42 win against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North on the 14th. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, an 80-13 defeat against Vela on the 14th.
