Soccer Game Preview: Woodcrest Christian vs. Linfield Christian

Woodcrest Christian and Linfield Christian are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but likely not for long. The Woodcrest Christian Royals will head out to take on the Linfield Christian Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Woodcrest Christian's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Friday, Woodcrest Christian narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Arrowhead Christian 3-2. That's two games straight that the Royals have won by just one goal.

Rami Gadalla and Zachary Stice scored all three of Woodcrest Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 23 goals.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Linfield Christian made sure to put some goals up on the board against Arrowhead Christian on Monday. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 5-1 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Lions' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Linfield Christian now has a winning record of 8-7-4. As for Woodcrest Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2-1 record this season.

Woodcrest Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Linfield Christian in their previous meeting last Wednesday, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodcrest Christian since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
