Volleyball Recap: Moriarty Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Moriarty had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the East Mountain Timberwolves by a score of 3-1. The Pintos haven't had any issues with the Timberwolves recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:three sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 26-24, 16-25, 26-24.

Michaela Dunn paced Moriarty's offense, picking up 17 kills. Dunn got some help from Lily Shelby and her 11 assists.

East Mountain dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Moriarty will square off against Bosque at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Mountain, they will take on Hope Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
