Basketball Recap: Warroad Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

After losing to Goodridge/Grygla the last time they met, Warroad decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Warroad Warriors snuck past the Goodridge/Grygla Chargers with a 61-55 victory on Thursday. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Chargers are ranked 345th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Warroad's win bumped their record up to 22-3. As for Goodridge/Grygla, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Warroad has already played their next contest (against Grygla-Gatzke), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Goodridge/Grygla does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
