Softball Game Preview: Sun Valley Spartans vs. Marvin Ridge Mavericks

Sun Valley is 0-10 against Marvin Ridge since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mavericks at 6:00 p.m.

Monday just wasn't the day for Sun Valley's offense. They lost 9-0 to Weddington on Monday. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Marvin Ridge faced Cuthbertson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Mavericks came out on top against the Cavaliers by a score of 6-2. The victory was nothing new for the Mavericks as they're now sitting on five straight.

Marvin Ridge's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Sun Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
