Basketball Recap: Eastside Catholic Comes Up Short

Eastside Catholic came up into this matchup off a tough 26-point defeat last Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Lincoln Lynx by a score of 47-44 on Saturday. The Crusaders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lynx earlier this season, when they won 67-52.

Eastside Catholic now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Lincoln, with the victory, they broke their 12-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-15.

Eastside Catholic will host Holy Names Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lincoln, they are taking a road trip to square off against Roosevelt at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Roosevelt's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Lincoln has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.
