Basketball Recap: Hamilton Christian's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Hamilton Christian was riding high fresh off their 65-38 takedown of Eleanor McMain last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hamilton Christian Warriors fell just short of the Wossman Wildcats by a score of 52-49 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Warriors have suffered since November 21, 2023.

Hamilton Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Javon Vital, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 15 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Vital is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Rideau Jr, who posted 15 points along with eight boards and four steals.

Hamilton Christian's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-1. As for Wossman, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Hamilton Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 69-47 victory against Northeast on the 12th. As for Wossman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-58 loss against Lake Charles College Prep on the 7th.
