Volleyball Recap: Shelton Bulldogs vs. Leyton Warriors
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Shelton had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Leyton Warriors. The victory was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on 12 straight.
While Shelton won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 26-24, 25-16.
Ellie Morgan had an outrageously good game as she had 25 digs. She has been hot recently, having posted 22 or more digs the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Parker Lowe, who had five digs and 21 assists.
Shelton is on a roll lately: they've won 25 of their last 26 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 32-3 record this season. As for Leyton, with the loss, they broke their 35-game winning streak and moved their record to 35-1.
