Baseball Game Preview: Douglas County Huskies vs. Erie Tigers

The Douglas County Huskies will face off against the Erie Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Douglas County's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three contests, but Tuesday's match will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Monday, Douglas County came up short against Smoky Hill and fell 5-2.

Bricen Moore was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Erie's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (3-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Surprisingly, this marked their sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Erie saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ronin Ward, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Erie's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Douglas County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Douglas County hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Erie struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.4 home runs.
