Baseball Recap: Green Mountain Takes a Loss

Green Mountain entered their contest against Dakota Ridge on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Rams fell 8-4 to the Eagles.

Caden Kelly made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of DJ Villalovas, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Green Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 9-4-1. As for Dakota Ridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Green Mountain will square off against D'Evelyn at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Dakota Ridge, they will take on Evergreen at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
