Providence Academy skates past Marshall with ease

Recap: Providence Academy Lions vs. Marshall Hilltoppers

The Providence Academy Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 22 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Marshall 89-54 on the road. That's another feather in the cap for Providence Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Providence Academy found their leader in underclassman Maddyn Greenway, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Greenway has scored at least 25% of Providence Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ari Peterson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.

Providence Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Marshall, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Providence Academy and Minnehaha Academy will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Minnehaha Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
