Soccer Game Preview: Crestwood vs. Lewisburg + How To Watch

Crestwood is 0-5 against Lewisburg since November of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Comets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Green Dragons at 6:00 p.m.

Crestwood is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday. The Comets fell 4-2 to the Wolfpack. While losing is never fun, Crestwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 359th, while Wilkes-Barre are ranked 174th).

Meanwhile, Lewisburg strolled into their game on Thursday with an undefeated record and they left with the same. Their defense stepped up to hand Southern Columbia Area a 6-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Lewisburg, who have now won 11 matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Southern Columbia Area from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Viktor Permyashkin led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Crestwood's loss dropped their record down to 5-12-1. As for Lewisburg, their win bumped their record up to 16-0-1.
