League recap: Ray races to league-leading run for Winters

Winters's Trevor Ray recorded the longest rushing play in Butte View this season in his game against Willows last week. Ray's team fell to the Honkers as he sprinted for 61 yards on the play and finished with 212 in all.

Wheatland scaled the state rankings by moving to 372 from 447 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Pirates were able to make move up by besting Marysville 56-14.

Austin Cooper provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Wheatland topped the Indians. Cooper's favorite target this week was Jordan Samson, who caught 4 passes for 69 yards.

Ray was a force in the backfield as Winters fell to Willows.

Ray was the most successful running back in the league this week. Teammate Jacob Lowrie added to the ground attack by rushing for 89 yards.

Randy Post put up the best numbers through the air as Sutter beat Justin-Siena. He finished with a total of 9 completions for 198 yards and 3 touchdowns. Post's favorite target this week was Brandon Jackson, who caught 5 passes for 91 yards.

Kavi Ram was the best wideout in Butte View this week as Orland lost to Central Valley. Ram tallied 9 receptions for 118 yards. Junior Maldonado helped Orland's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 26 yards.

Kameron Wilcox was a key player and the best on defense this week as Neil Stinson's team bested Marysville. The 5-foot-10 junior.

5-foot-10 quarterback Post of the Huskies is the league leader in passing yards this season with 612. He has also thrown 6 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Ram. The Orland star has 15 catches for 220 yards.

Sutter was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fourth to second in the league. Ryan Reynolds' team defeated the Braves 42-19 earlier in the week.
