Softball Recap: Franklin County Takes a Loss

Franklin County suffered their biggest loss since May 16, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 7-0 to the Tipton-Rosemark Academy Rebels. The game marked the first time this year in which the Flyers were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Franklin County and nudges their season record down to 7-5. As for Tipton-Rosemark Academy, they pushed their record up to 11-10-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Franklin County will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Frankfort at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.71 runs per game on average), something the Flyers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Tipton-Rosemark Academy, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-0 loss against Green Hill on the 5th.
