Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Soddy Daisy). They walked away with a 35-23 win over the Ooltewah Owls on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Trojans considering their seven-point performance the game before.

Several Owls players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Griffin Patterson, who picked up 97 receiving yards and one score, and also punched in one rushing score. Rhylon Hinton was another key signal caller, throwing for 162 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes.

Soddy Daisy now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Ooltewah, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coming up, Soddy Daisy will be playing in front of their home fans against Bradley Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears' defense has only allowed 9.7 points per game this season, so the Trojans' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Ooltewah, they will head out on the road to challenge East Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Owls will need to watch out since the Hurricanes have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
