Softball Recap: Ridgeland Takes a Loss

Ridgeland fell victim to Yazoo County and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 15-0 to the Yazoo County Panthers. Having soared to a lofty 26 runs in the game before, the Titans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Ridgeland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Yazoo County, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgeland will challenge Neshoba Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridgeland has given up an average of 14.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Yazoo County, they will face off against Cleveland Central at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Cleveland Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.
