Kennedy had won five straight at home, but on Wednesday they bumped their record up to 16-8 to make it six. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chavez Eagles, sneaking past 3-2. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Anais Perez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Vivi Yanez was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one run. Leah Magallanes also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
