Mary Persons found their leader in underclassman Zoey Shannon, who scored 18 points along with 7 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Shannon has scored at least 25% of Mary Persons' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anaja Lucear, who scored 10 points along with 7 steals and 5 assists.
Mary Persons' victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Lee County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Mary Persons' road trip will continue as they head out to face Thomas County Central at 12:30 p.m. on November 21st. As for Lee County, they will challenge Sumter County at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
