Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Schaumburg Christian's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Schaumburg Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the South Beloit Sobos by a score of 2-1. The Conquerors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sobos apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Sarah Perfanov paced Schaumburg Christian's offense, picking up seven kills. Perfanov got some help from Eunice Cho and her 19 assists. Perfanov was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Schaumburg Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 21-4. As for South Beloit, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Schaumburg Christian will square off against Parkview Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Beloit, they will face off against Earlville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
