Softball Game Preview: Chaparral Firebirds vs. Horizon Huskies

For the second straight game, Chaparral will face off against Horizon. The Firebirds are taking a road trip to face off against the Huskies at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Chaparral's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Horizon with a sharp 6-0 victory. The Firebirds haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Bria Belden was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaelyn Moffitt, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Chaparral's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 12-15. As for Horizon, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
