Baseball Recap: Innovation Takes a Loss

Innovation was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 10-7 to the Lake Nona Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-6 back in March.

Liam Rivera made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Luis Rodriguez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

Innovation's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Lake Nona, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 13-10.

Coincidentally, Innovation and Lake Nona will both be playing Lake Buena Vista the next time they take the field. The Lions will host the Vipers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Bulls will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
