Softball Game Preview: Northwest Halifax Vikings vs. Southeast Halifax Trojans

For the second straight game, Northwest Halifax will face off against Southeast Halifax. The Vikings will square off against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Northwest Halifax took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Southeast Halifax with a sharp 20-5 victory. Considering the Vikings have won three games by more than 14 runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Southeast Halifax's part, Kacee' Smith was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases. Smith is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least two every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was A'Dariah Williams, who scored a run and stole a base.

Northwest Halifax now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Southeast Halifax, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
