The Jones Eagles will take on the DePaul College Prep Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Jones is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.5 runs per game this season.

Jones fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Hancock on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of Hancock by a score of 4-3. Jones' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Jones saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Delaney Treccia, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, DePaul College Prep fell victim to Loyola Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ramblers. The Rams have struggled against the Ramblers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Jones' loss dropped their record down to 16-2. As for DePaul College Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-19.

Jones might still be hurting after the 16-0 loss they got from DePaul College Prep in their previous meeting back in May of 2022. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
