Volleyball Game Preview: Oregon Hawks vs. Genoa-Kingston Cogs

The Oregon Hawks will take on the Genoa-Kingston Cogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Thursday, Oregon came up short against Polo and fell 2-0. The loss continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Marcos: they've now lost three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-12.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Genoa-Kingston, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Marengo by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The Cogs haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Genoa-Kingston not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Marengo between 16 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17.

Oregon's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Genoa-Kingston, their victory bumped their record up to 16-10.

Oregon beat Genoa-Kingston 2-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Cogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
