Baseball Recap: Crestview Rebels vs. Newton Falls Tigers

Crestview had lost three straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 12-9 to make it four. They fell just short of the Newton Falls Tigers by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 on Monday.

For Newton Falls' part, LeLand Vargo made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out 16 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Those 16 strikeouts gave Vargo a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
